Michigan Online Gaming Revenue Reaches $284,6 Million in July 2025

(Detroit).- Michigan’s commercial and tribal internet gaming operators reported a combined $284.6 million in gross receipts from iGaming and online sports betting in July 2025, reflecting a slight 0.2% decrease from June.

Commercial and tribal operators saw mixed results, with steady iGaming growth and a decline in sports betting compared to June.
Monthly Gross Receipts
iGaming generated $250.5 million, up from $240.6 million in June.
Online sports betting recorded $34.1 million, down from $44.6 million the previous month.
Monthly Adjusted Gross Receipts (AGR)
Total adjusted gross receipts reached $259.1 million, including:
$235.2 million from iGaming (a 4.1% increase month-over-month)
$23.9 million from sports betting (a 21.6% decrease month-over-month)
Year-over-year, iGaming AGR rose 36.5%, while sports betting AGR increased 38.7% compared to July 2024.
Monthly Handle
The total sports betting handle was $282.7 million, down 6.6% from June’s $302.7 million.
State Taxes and Payments
Operators submitted a total of $50.5 million in taxes and state payments in July:
iGaming: $49.1 million
Online sports betting: $1.4 million
City of Detroit Taxes and Payments
Detroit’s three commercial casinos reported a combined $12.5 million in wagering taxes and municipal service fees:
iGaming: $12.1 million
Online sports betting: $411,627
Tribal Operator Payments
Tribal operators reported $6.1 million in payments to their respective governing bodies.
Additional Information: As of July 2025, 15 licensed operators are authorized to offer iGaming and/or online sports betting in Michigan. Of these, 12 offer online sports betting and 15 provide iGaming. Individual operator performance data is available on the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) website.
